I admit I struggle with 'Christian' music. Much of it is littered with faithless concepts and ideas. Sadly, even many old time hymns. Unscriptural ideas are not limited to modern times.
And then there is the whole idea of style and musical taste. A song might have great lyrics, but other musical aspects may not appeal. Thus, I struggle to really ever recommend anything.
7th Time Down falls into this latter category. I find their lyrics better than most, yet some of their songs are more on what I would call the 'raucous' side.
I'm fine with that, because I like that sound, but some in my community might not. But occasionally it is worth going out on a limb.
They just released a new album today and their song titled 'Christian' blew me away. It had me fist pumping and emotional at the same time. It is truly an anthem that focuses on keeping the gospel and 'Christ' in Christian.
Not sure if you will like the musical style or not, but I hope it will still have you fist pumping too. Enjoy.
If Spotify doesn't let you listen to the entire song for some reason, please look it up on your app. Thanks.
